TIFF 2009 a success!

I'm home in Edmonton from the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, where I presented my short film The Island to three sold-out houses. I also participated in the Talent Lab, which was incredibly inspiring and informative. Above, I am pictured with Danny Boyle and Tilda Swinton, who were two of a cavalcade of inspiring Talent Lab guests. The other governors and speakers included Miranda July, Don McKellar, John Collee, Mark Lewis, Gaspar Noé, Peter Mettler, Jane Campion, Jan Chapman, Suzana Amaral, James Schamus, Niki Caro, Christine Vachon, Atom Egoyan, Ivan Reitman, Scott Hicks and Brian De Palma.
